People only change after something bad happens.
True, because, most people do not want to change anything, when it is all going well. As in the old saying why fix something that isn’t broken?
Exactly my point you don’t mess with what’s already good but as soon as something goes even the slightest bit wrong everybody wants to change everything possible in every little way without really thinking it through or trying to find out what actually made it mess up

Good points. It is important to find out the root cause(s) of problems prior to trying to fix it. A quick fix usually does not last.
